Raw Caramel Dip

Caramel DipIn search for a Halloween recipe I found this raw caramel dip that’s easy and yummy.  Tastes great with apples, especially tart ones like Granny Smith, and goes well mixed in a bowl of raw ice cream.

Here’s the very simple recipe:

2 Cups Dates

1/2 Cup Maple Syrup

1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

1.5 Tbsp Lemon Juice

1 tsp Sun Fire Salt

Pit the dates and soak them in water with a little lemon juice for an hour.  Drain the dates and combine them with the other ingredients in a food processor (or a blender).  Process until creamy.  Eat immediately or store in the fridge for ongoing caramel fun.
