Chia Porridge

Breakfast of Champions! : ) This is a superfood upgrade for breakfast cereals and oatmeal, and it’s easily customizeable! To make Chia Porridge, simply combine: 3.5 Cups liquid (we prefer coconut milk) 1/2 Cup Chia Seeds Stir well and let sit overnight in the fridge.  If you need it in a hurry, stir regularly for about 15-30 minutes (the longer it sits, the more solid a gel you will have). Like oatmeal, this tastes best with some seasoning and fruit added to it, like cinnamon, nutmeg a pinch of salt and banana or apple. If you prefer a crunchy cereal, […]

Chia Gel

Chia seeds can soak up to 12 times their weight in water, so eating them dry can potentially leave you dehydrated and with chia seeds stuck in your teeth. A better option is to create a chia gel that you can then add to smoothies, salad dressings, soups, dips, cereals, puddings or any food you desire to upgrade with added nutrition. Chia Gel Formula The basic formula is 1/3 Cup Chia Seeds to 2 Cups Water (or other liquid). Stir the chia seeds into the liquid well, stir again in about 10 minutes. The longer the chia seeds sit in […]

Green Gobblers 3

My good friend Courtney came up with this recipe she calls snickerdoodles and while I love, Love, LOVE these snacks, the name “snickerdoodle” just doesn’t work for me.  I mean, they’re green.  Snickerdoodle cookies aren’t green. So, since the name keeps throwing me off I’ve decided to call them Green Gobblers … they are green and I can just gobble them all up (even though they are green). Try out this recipe and I think you’ll see what I mean – the sweet taste packed full of protein and green goodness will have you coming back for more. *** Green […]
